FWC Volunteer Registration, 8/21 - 8/22
San Francisco, CA
Family Winemakers of California will hold its 21st annual wine tasting on Sunday and Monday, Aug. 21 (open to consumers and trade) and 22 (trade only). We need lots of volunteers! You get to attend the tasting for free on both days AND you get a fancy T-shirt!
NOTE that some shifts have been filled so they are no longer shown on the schedule above. NOTE that we're listing time ranges, NOT shift times; your assigned shift will not exceed 3-1/4 hours and you will be able to attend the tasting both on the day you're working and the day you're not. Please fill out one form per person. To help us with scheduling, check as many shifts -- in our new system, "tickets"! -- as possible; we’ll do our best to accommodate you but reserve the right to put you where we need you. You are not confirmed for a volunteer shift until you have been assigned one via email correspondence from us. When you click on "Register" we will collect needed information from you. Janett Peace, after so many years communicating with our volunteers, has gone on to other projects. If you have questions, please contact our NEW volunteer coordinator, Tony Williams, firstname.lastname@example.org (already known to some of you as the unflappable, always helpful guy at our Computer Station!).
Small, family-owned wine producers across the state are the foundation of Family Winemakers of California. Formed in 1991 to lobby for the rights of its members to freely produce, market and sell their products, we currently represent over 500 producers. FWC hosts these tastings because they provide a cost-effective marketing approach for small, family-owned wineries, which allows them to share what the vines produce and they craft so you can enjoy it on your table.
Wineries pour at our San Diego, Pasadena and San Francisco tastings. The wineries remain dedicated to producing the finest wines they can from what vineyards across the state offer. You'll taste the passion for combining the right soil, the right grape, and the right microclimate into every bottle.
Our legislative and regulatory work augment these trade and consumer tastings to help our members succeed in a highly competitive marketplace. This will be our 23rd year hosting the San Francisco Tasting.
